This was so much fun! So, the backstory is that I was on a snowboarding trip in Utah. The destination was Brian Head Ski Resort. The resort was amazing. It's a smaller resort with cheaper prices and far less traffic than what the big resorts experience. I have just recently became a snowboarder, and I am HOOKED! Brian Head made it easy to learn with kind employees, beautiful runs, and (like I said before) less people to embarrass myself in front of.
Of course, a photographer taking a trip to Utah is like being in photo heaven. P.S. It seems like there are a lot of pretty people in Utah. Anyway, needless to say, my trigger finger was getting a little itchy for some couple photos in Utah. I had been looking for a couple to take photos of at the resort, and my search finally paid off. I was on the Navajo Express lift when I saw a couple that I thought would be great for the photos. However, I chickened out. I went ahead and took my ride down the mountain and didn't think much more about them. Then, later in the day, I got on the lift again, and they got on as well; two chairs behind me. I made it up in my mind that I was going to ask them when they got off the lift. I had a good long ride to form what I was going to say. If y'all know me at all, then you know that this is something I just have to do. lol When they got off the lift, I asked if they were a couple and if they would want to do photos really quick. They ended up being all for it, and my photography self was finally satisfied.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THINGS LIKE THIS. I'm not a photographer just for the money and career side of things. I am a photographer because I love taking photos. I love making connections. I love giving people something that they will cherish. I love every second of creating art like this, and it touches my soul when I get to share it with others and they love it just as much. I am learning that I love to tell a little story with each of my session, and I hope that is evident with this gallery.
Sending out a special thank you to Alexa and Tyler for letting me photograph them, and special thank you to Utah and Brian Head resort for being so beautiful. Enjoy the photos!
