I am first and foremost a senior photographer. Senior photos are what I have come to LOVE over the 12 to 15 years that I have been in the world of photography. Portrait photography has always been special to me, which eventually developed into my love for senior photos.

Getting the hang of communication has been super important. When working with high school seniors, it's all about finding that sweet spot between being professional and being relatable. I've figured out how to make photo sessions feel relaxed, so seniors can really be themselves. I do this by asking them about their interests, hobbies, and personal lives. This not only helps me capture who they really are but also helps us build trust and even a bit of friendship.
Details & Locations
Secondly, I've got a knack for spotting details, which is super important for making sure every photo tells a story. This means I focus on lighting, background, and composition. I know how to use natural light to create stunning photos that make you go "WOW." Plus, I enjoy finding locations that match the seniors' personalities and interests, whether it's a bowling alley, boat on the lake, field full of grass, downtown life, library, golf course, etc. Whatever your senior is into, let's capture the photos there!

One of the cool skills I've picked up is knowing how to pose high school seniors. A lot of them might feel a bit awkward or unsure in front of the camera, so I've learned how to guide them in a way that feels chill and natural. I show them some poses, give easygoing tips, and encourage those candid moments that really highlight their unique style and confidence. I just want them to feel comfortable, so we end up with genuine and expressive photos that are true to them!
Editing
I've really come to appreciate the importance of post-processing and editing. After snapping the photos, I carefully tweak the best ones to boost the quality without losing the genuine vibe of the subject. This means playing around with colors, fixing lighting issues, and doing a bit of subtle retouching to make sure the seniors look amazing yet natural. My moody and warm editing style is unique and beautiful, especially overtop a photo of someone extremely important to you!
