There are so many beautiful photography locations in Arkansas! Of course, I don't know them all, but I would like to share some of the ones that I use and love. I would also like to share why I use locations like this and why they are on my favorites list.
Batesville
Batesville and the surrounding area is my home. Therefore, I shoot in this area a lot! The Batesville area is known as the Gateway To The Ozarks, and Batesville is the oldest functional city in Arkansas. With that being said, this is an amazing area with a wide variety of backdrops. Downtown Batesville is filled with buildings that date back to the 1800's and early 1900's, and the surrounding hills and mountains are the starting point for the amazingly unique area known as the Ozark Mountains. I truly love this area, and I have been able to create many beautiful memories for people here.
Buffalo River Wilderness Area
I absolutely love the area that surrounds the Buffalo River. These places are where my soul feels at home. This Buffalo River area is smack dab in the middle of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. This area is filled with mountains, hills, cliffs, streams, trees, rocks, and wildlife. There are so many places to hike, climb, swim, float, kayak, bike, and sightsee. The photography opportunities are just bursting at the seams. This area is one of my favorites to visit as well.
Greers Ferry Lake Area
I know there are a lot of lakes in Arkansas (and I'm sure they are all beautiful), but I live closest to Greers Ferry Lake. Therefore, this area is a regular visit for me. There are many locations here that make for wonderful backdrops for any type of photo session. Greers Ferry Lake is home to several towns, each having their own little spot on the water. There are hiking trails and sightseeing areas all around the lake, which makes this spot great for the photographer.
These treasures are just a drop in the bucket compared to the many other amazing photography locations in Arkansas, but I hope you enjoyed reading about some of my favorite places to take pictures. I would love to #refreshyoursmile at one of these special places, or we could always find another beautiful destination for a photoshoot. I am always up for an adventure!
